R.B. Owen Zipperer, 61, of Cleveland, departed this life on Sunday, March 28, 2021.
Born in Daytona, Fla., on Sep. 29, 1959, to the late R.B. and Daisy Mae Zipperer, he lived the past 30 years in Tennessee and was of the Baptist faith.
He loved riding around making his rounds to his friends, playing pool, and being the center of attention.
He is survived by his wife, Lee Marie Zipperer; son, Earl W. Ludwig; daughters: Angela Atkins, Linda Ludwig and Tammy Green; siblings: Christopher, Eddie and Peggy Zipperer; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several extended family members and a host of friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Dr. Philip Jerald Dugan, 84, former director and founder of the Cleveland and Athens Regional Cancer Centers, the Ocoee Regional Cancer Foundation, and a longtime resident of Birchwood, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021, at home with his family after a courageous one-year battle with MD Syndrome.
A native of Los Angeles, Calif., he graduated from Loyala High School in 1954, later graduating with a bachelor of science degree from Loyola University of Los Angeles in 1958 and St. Louis Medical School in St. Louis in 1963.
Pursuing his medical career, he returned to Los Angeles with an internship at the Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles in 1964, followed by a residency in radiology at the hospital in 1967.

The Rev. Mark Stephen Abbott, 61, of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021, following a brief illness.
Born in Seaford, Del., he was called to the ministry as a teenager and became an ordained bishop in the Church of God and an evangelist in his native Delmarva-D.C. region.
He served as pastor of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor Church from 1981-1986 and the Milwaukee Metro Church of God from 1986-1990. At 27, he was appointed state director of Youth and Christian Education for the Church of God in Wisconsin/Upper Michigan, a position he also held in the Pacific Northwest, South Georgia, and Alabama regions, before being elected to the assistant director of Youth and Christian Education in 2000 and the director’s role in 2004. Other leadership roles include state overseer for Indiana as well as state evangelism director in the various regions in which he served.

Tony Neves, 79, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, after suffering several strokes and battling with dementia.
Tony was born on June 5, 1941, to Juanita and Lecel in Greenville, S.C.
After graduating from Greenville High School in 1964, he studied photography at Greenville Tech, Cleveland State Community College and then Lee University, where he took advantage of the senior programs and helped many students in their photography studies. He graduated with his master s in photography in 1989.
In 1955, he met Nancy Martin, and they wed in 1962, going on to have two children: Ronnie Neves, who married Donna Gregg, and Megan Neves, who narried Jody Lischewski. Tony had two beloved granddaughters: Chloe Starshine Mize and Lily Temperance Thomas.
