The decision to change the timing of the ballot issue stems from the estimated cost to place the question on the May 4 ballot, said Clinton County Assistant Prosecutor Justin Dickman. As elected officials, we see and understand that the COVID-19 virus has caused difficulty and confusion in every area of our lives, including the ability to interact with county offices. The commissioners have worked diligently with all county offices and departments to provide the resources and support necessary to allow us to remain open to the public throughout this crisis.”
