Glasgow Taxis postpones 75th outing to Troon for second time due to Covid The Glasgow Taxi Outing to Troon has been postponed for a second time due to coronavirus. Organisers had got to the point of booking equipment and venues, as well as enlisting volunteers for this year s big day before deciding to pull the plug for the 2021 event. The 75th outing to Troon was due to take place this June, however, due to Covid fears, organisers have decided to push the date back to next year. It is now scheduled to be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Stephen Lalley, Treasurer of The Glasgow Taxi Outing Fund, said: A statement from the Glasgow Taxi Outing Fund reads: Unfortunately we have made the decision to postpone the 75th outing to Troon until 2022. It is now scheduled to be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.
