Jones Memorial Hospital launches $16.8M construction project: What you need to know
Officials detail the changes in store for the new-look hospital and what residents can expect during the construction process on North Main Street

WELLSVILLE Jones Memorial Hospital is celebrating 100 years of serving the community in 2021, and as fate would have it, the hospital is preparing to launch a major construction project that will set the stage for its second century.
Jones Memorial was awarded a $16.8 million NYS Healthcare Facility Transformation Grant in early 2020. A year later, local officials are now planning for the imminent construction phase of the expansion project.

New floors at Lincoln Elementary Schools have been added to a five-year, $86.5 million Jamestown Public Schools District capital improvement project.
School board members approved the final scope of work during a special meeting Tuesday. A public hearing on the capital project will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, in the Persell Middle School auditorium as part of the district’s

With assistance from a local architectural firm, a building to display the restored Jamestown Street Railway Trolley Car No. 93 is in the works.
Bob Johnston, Jamestown Street Railway Trolley Car No. 93 restoration project founder, told The Post-Journal that CPL (Clark Paterson Lee) is in the process of creating architectural drawings of what the display building might look like for the restored trolley car. He receive an initial drawing from the architectural firm last year and provided feedback. Last week, Johnston received a new rendering from CPL.
