149th Open Championship is set up for a gripping finale on Sunday with Louis Oosthuizen, Collin Morikawa and Jordan Spieth separated by just three shots.
Oosthuizen and Speith are both previous winners of the Claret Jug, but Morikawa has confirmed his status as one of golf s rising stars on his first Open Championship appearance through 54 holes.
World number two Jon Rahm is also not out of contention, five shots off the lead, while Corey Connors and Scottie Scheffler could continue the tradition of surprise winners at Royal St George s.

Louis Oosthuizen remains slight favorite to win Open Championship

After holding the outright lead at the Open Championship for the third straight round, Louis Oosthuizen remains the favorite to finish the job and lift the Claret Jug.
The South African is sportsbooks narrow favorite to win the last major of the season Sunday as he enters the final round with aone-shot advantage over Collin Morikawa.
BetMGM is offering Oosthuizen at 140 to win the Open after Saturday s third round, with Morikawa close behind at 180.
Similarly, DraftKings has Oosthuizen as the 150 favorite and Morikawa second at 200.
During the back nine Saturday, Oosthuizen broke free from a three-way tie with Morikawa and Jordan Spieth with a birdie at the par-3 16th hole. With a third-round 69, Oosthuizen stands at 12-under 198, but Morikawa used a strong back-nine showing to card a 68 and draw closer to the lead.

SANDWICH, United Kingdom: Rory McIlroy’s realistic shot at a fifth major championship faded on the back nine of the British Open on Saturday after an electrifying start from the Northern Irishman entertained the thousands following his third round at Royal St. George’s.
Crowds of up to 32,000 have been allowed into the 149th Open Championship despite surging infection rates for coronavirus in England.
The biggest galleries of the tournament so far saw McIlroy make five birdies on the front nine to take the turn in four under par for the day and the championship, closing to within seven of leader Louis Oosthuizen.

Louis Oosthuizen held off a charge from Collin Morikawa and Jordan Spieth to stay one shot in front at 12 under par heading into the final round of the British Open at Royal St. George’s.
The South African carded a third-round of 69 on Saturday to stay a stroke ahead of tournament debutant Morikawa and three in front of 2017 Open champion Spieth.

SANDWICH, United Kingdom - Louis Oosthuizen promised to play his heart out in pursuit of a second British Open title as he headed into Sunday s final round with a one-shot lead.
The South African s third-round 69 at Royal St George s on Saturday left him with a slender advantage over tournament debutant Collin Morikawa.
Oosthuizen s 2010 Open triumph at St Andrews remains his only major title, with the 38-year-old having since had six runners-up finishes in the sport s most prestigious events.
Two of those came this year, with Oosthuizen second to Jon Rahm at last month s US Open and joint runner-up behind Phil Mickelson at the US PGA in May.
