Former Dunfermline man given another jail sentence for assaulting partner

Serial offender Anthony Godden had been put on a five-year non-harassment order banning contact with his partner. However, the order was ignored by the couple, who continued their long-term relationship, resulting in another assault. Godden, 35, currently a prisoner at Perth, appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court by video-link from jail. He admitted that on November 21, at Bethune Way, Buckhaven, he assaulted his partner by seizing her repeatedly by the neck, pushing her over a sofa and struggled with her, all to her injury. He also admitted that having been made subject to a non-harassment order on December 4, 2019, he breached this by being with his partner on November 21.
