Charlie and his dogs A ‘BRAVE’ teenager who battled cancer for five years has sadly passed away and a funeral will be held next week. Charlie Ilsley, 13, from Emmer Green had been fighting the disease since he was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, the most high-grade brain tumour found in children when he was eight years old. The teenager and his parents Toni and Mark had returned to Mexico for a follow up scan earlier this month following treatment there and returned to England on Saturday (December 12). A heartbreaking update on Charlies’ Stand Up to Cancer fundraising page announced Charlie had sadly passed away on Saturday.
