Election 2021: Amarillo mayor hopefuls say why they should be elected

Why are you seeking the position of Mayor for the city of Amarillo? I am running to be the Mayor of all residents of Amarillo to not only serve the citizens of this great city, but also represent them. I want to restore transparency and accountability to our local government. If elected, what experience/various qualities would you bring to the position? I am a common sense small business owner who is fiscally conservative, an individual who knows how to work within a budget and an individual who has spent his whole career serving the needs of students and customers. I listen, discuss or analyze the situation, decide on a solution and stick with it. My teaching in the prison system and working with suspended students in the Amarillo Independent School District has put me in contact with people of all societal levels and I work well with all.
