Sunderland Ladies 5-4 Derby County Women
Sunderland Ladies were back with a boom this afternoon, taking all three available points from Derby County Women, in a nine-goal classic which left both sidelines on the edge of their seats.
An own goal from the Rams, accompanied by strikes from Louise Griffiths, Emily Scarr and a brace from captain Keira Ramshaw were enough to pull the Black Cats over the line in miserable conditions at the Academy of Light.
And despite Derbyâs best efforts in their 150-mile trip, they failed to ruin the Lasses parade on the day.
The FAWNL resumed for both sides at 1pm this afternoon, when Derby got the game underway for the first 45.
