The Philippine National Police (PNP) is eyeing two other angles behind the controversy on the alleged sale of vaccines and vaccination slots for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
First, it could be similar to online scam since at least two of those who received the offer for vaccines and vaccination slots are engaged in online selling business and were directly messaged by at least two suspects through social media messaging app.
And second, it could be politically-motivated as the suspects could be employed to discredit the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Mandaluyong, San Juan and Parañaque City amid public interest on all the issues regarding the vaccination.
