Police have named the man who died after a shooting in Dalston.
Officers attended Gillett Square just before 1am on Saturday (May 8) after reports of shots being fired and found Patrick Anzy, 31, who was seriously injured.
He died at the scene and Det Insp Andy McDonald said he is keen to speak with anyone who was in the Gillett Square area and may have witnessed what happened. Patrick was attacked in Boleyn Road, Dalston, in the early hours of Saturday, May 8 and, at the time, I believe there may have been a number of people around who may have seen or heard something.

Police have named the victim of a fatal shooting in Hackney on Saturday, as they continue their appeal for witnesses to come forward.
Patrick Anzy, 31, was found seriously injured after reports of shots being fired in Gillett Square, Dalston, at 12.56am. Despite medics best efforts he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place on May 11. No arrests have been made so far.
Detective Inspector Andy McDonald, of Specialist Crime, said: “I am very keen to speak to anyone who was in the Gillett Square area at the time of the shooting who may have witnessed the murder.

The victim of a fatal shooting in Hackney has been named as detectives continue to appeal for information and witnesses.
Police were called to reports of shots fired on Gillett Square in Dalston at 00:56hrs on Saturday, 8 May.
Officers attended and found a seriously injured man, 31-year-old Patrick Anzy.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, Patrick was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place on Tuesday, 11 May.
There have been no arrests.

A man died in Gillett Square, Dalston, on Saturday morning following reports of a shooting.

A man died after police were called to Dalston in the early hours of Saturday following reports of a shooting.
Officers found a seriously injured man, believed to be aged in his 30s, in Gillett Square, Dalston, at about 1am.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police set up a crime scene and launched an investigation after initially responding to reports of shots fired in the area.
A police investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Hackney.
Police were called to reports of shots fired in Gillett Square, Dalston at 0056hrs on Saturday, 8 May.
Officers attended and found a seriously injured man, believed to be aged in his 30s.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are under way to confirm the man’s identity and inform his next of kin.
Officers are also working to establish the exact nature of the man’s injuries. A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.
A crime scene remains in place. No arrest has been made at this early stage.
