The Tallassee Police Department searches for the identity of two males. Police say two men robbed the Title Cash at 904-A Gilmer Avenue in Tallassee.
On Friday, December 18, police say two men entered the business banishing guns. One suspect held an employee at gunpoint while the other suspect searched the building.
The suspects took an unspecified amount of money and an employee’s car keys. Both suspect fled the scene in the employee’s vehicle. The vehicle has since been located and is in the custody of the Tallassee Police Department at this time.
One suspect is described as being a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, with a thin/skinny build and is possibly in his mid to late 20’s, the second suspect is believed to be a black male who stands between 5’8 and 5’10 and is believed to be in mid to late 20’s as well, with a muscular/athletic build.
Updated: 11:07 PM EST Feb 24, 2021 WXII12.com Web Staff The Winston-Salem Police department took one of the people injured in shootings on Dec. 17 into custody Friday.Investigators said Tommy Joe Shore was believed to have been shot during an intended robbery. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon.Shore is being held in the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center without bail. Police said the shooting was reported at 4:14 p.m. Dec. 17 at a house in the 3000 block of Greenway Avenue.Officers found one victim in a house. Police said he was taken to the hospital for treatment and released. A second victim, now known to be Shore, was shot in the stomach and arrived at a hospital in a private vehicle, said police. He was in critical but stable condition, but survived, police said.

New State Orders Begin This Evening
(Raleigh, NC) North Carolina is entering a modified stay-at-home order beginning at five this afternoon. Most businesses will be required to close by 10 p.m., while alcohol sales by-the-drink will end at nine each night. Residents are also being advised to remain under curfew between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Another 55-hundred new COVID-19 cases were reported by state public health officials yesterday.
WNC To Received Thousands Of COVID-19 Vaccine Doses
(Asheville, NC) Several thousand initial doses of Pfizer s COVID-19 vaccine are coming to western North Carolina. Mission Health is expected to receive close to three-thousand, while the rest are going to Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville. A Health and Human Services spokesperson told the Citizen-Times that nearly 86-thousand doses in total are being shipped to the state next week.
