Perth’s freeway could potentially flood on Monday morning as a second cold front rolls over the city just days after buildings were damaged and streets inundated in a brief but intense downpour.
The Department of Fire and Emergency has advised commuters to avoid driving to work if possible and to pull on the side of the road and turn the hazard lights on if the storm reduces visibility.

Damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rain are set to hit parts of the Perth metropolitan area as the Bureau of Meteorology issues a severe weather warning from Lancelin to York.
The Bureau of Meteorology advised a severe thunderstorm was moving in a south south-west direction at about 40 km/h from 5.30pm.
As peak hour struck and people made their way home from 5pm on Tuesday, BoM issued the warning saying the severe thunderstorm was due to hit Two Rocks, Yanchep and Guilderton by 5.30pm
Severe thunderstorms have barrelled over Perth, reportedly dropping hail in the city s north.
The same system soaked some towns to the north-west with a month s rainfall in just one hour on Tuesday, while winds gusted to 90km/h further north.
The Bureau of Meteorology s severe storm warning blanketed most of greater Perth, from Rockingham north beyond Guilderton.

That advice was cancelled by 7pm (10pm AEDT), replaced by a warning to expect storms in the metro area throughout the night but that the threat of more severe weather had passed.
