It’s off to the races for this year’s Democratic and Republican primaries in New Jersey.
Candidates had to meet a Monday deadline to file petitions to run in the state’s June 8 primary elections. Now the fields are all set in a big election year with the governor’s office and all 120 seats in the state Legislature on the ballot, as well as numerous local races.
The primaries determine who wins the Democratic and Republican nominations to run in the Nov. 3 general election.
