Louis E. “Lou” Hunsinger Sr., 86, of Williamsport, died at home on Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, surrounded by his loving family and friends after an extended illness. He was born June 23, 1934 in Williamsport, a son of the late Bruce H. and Helen (Hawk) Hunsinger. On May 26, 1956, he married Doris Nance, who survives.
Lou graduated from Williamsport High School, Class of 1952 and from the Williamsport Technical Institute in 1959 with a degree in business management. He was honored by Williamsport Area Community College as “Alumnus of the Year” in 1977.
He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 57 and the Civil Air Patrol from 1949 to 1980. He served as squadron commander of CAP Squadron 401 from 1966 to 1970, before being promoted to Group 40 Staff, and later as a member of the Pennsylvania Wing Staff. He retired with the rank of major. He was honored with Civil Air Patrol’s Meritorious Service Award in 1973 for his work during the Hurri
Taylor Swift On Track For UK No 1 This Week
Taylor Swift is in pole position for Number 1 on this week’s Official Albums Chart with her surprise-released ninth studio album Evermore.
Announced last Thursday less than 24 hours before it was released, Evermore racked up the most downloads and album streams over the weekend. The collection is billed as a sister album to summer release Folklore and is a continuation of her lockdown sessions with The National’s Aaron Dessner, Bon Iver and Jack Antonoff. Evermore’s CD edition is released December 18.
Should the US megastar’s momentum continue, it will mark Taylor’s third chart-topping album in the space of 15 months following Lover (2019) and Folklore (2020). Her prior three Number 1 albums are Red (2012), 1989 (2014), and Reputation (2017).

After the horrific year we’ve all had, the circus is the perfect antidote: magic, glitter, daredevil acts, laughs, acrobatics, big musical numbers, light shows, fireworks, thrills, spills and a balloon so big it can swallow a human.
For an audience with Zoom fatigue, the sheer joy of being back seeing live entertainment (safely, it goes without saying, the audience has been pared back to a third of what it usually is and social distancing is in place) had me welling up at points.
