Drunk driver detained – Hackham, South Australia
A man will faced court after he allegedly registered a blood alcohol reading of more than five times over the limit at Hackham last night.
Just before 11pm on Saturday 4 April, a member of the public contacted police after a black Nissan ute was seen to mount a kerb in Royal Court and the male driver appeared to be intoxicated.
The police helicopter (PolAir) was in the area and located the Nissan in Mina Parade and the followed it’s progress to Royal Court where the ute stopped.
Southern District Police patrols on the ground converged on the area locating the driver who was detained for drink driving.

A woman has been punched and bitten during a home invasion south of Adelaide, with her three children forced to take refuge inside a bathroom after the intruder allegedly entered through an unlocked door.
