With an absolutely brilliant run by the entire quartet the Irish Mixed Relay team of Christopher O’Donnell, former WIT student Phil Healy, Sharlene Mawdsley and Ferrybank’s Thomas Barr are into the Final of the World Championships in Poland.
The final takes place at 6.20pm and the team have also qualified for Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The Irish team celebrate after finishing second
Ireland s relay team sprinted to second place at the IAAF World Relays this evening at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzow, Poland.
The 4x200m team of Aoife Lynch, Kate Doherty, Sarah Quinn, and Sophie Becker ran a new national record to finish just over a second behind behind Poland and comfortably ahead of Ecuador in third.
And anchor leg athlete Becker from Raheny Shamrocks said that she was inspired by the mixed relay side, who secured their ticket to Tokyo on Saturday.
