Wolverine recruiting report: The battle for 2022 4-star WR Tyler Morris, a former teammate of Michigan QB signee J.J. McCarthy

The early signing period for the 2021 recruiting class has come and gone as college programs shift most of their attention to the 2022 class.
One of Michigan’s top prospects in that cycle is four-star receiver Tyler Morris from Nazareth Academy in Illinois.
RANKING: No. 11 receiver, No. 2 overall prospect in Illinois and No. 75 in the country, according to 247Sports’ Composite system.
SIZE: 6-foot, 190 pounds
THE RECRUITING BATTLE: Although Morris hasn’t officially named any top schools, he told The Michigan Insider this week that he has had the most contact with Michigan, Notre Dame, Texas, Florida, Missouri and Northwestern.

Michigan has held on to its top receiver prospect in its 2021 class.
Fresno (Calif.) Central East four-star prospect Xavier Worthy signed with the Wolverines over Alabama on Wednesday, the start of the early signing period.
