Philadelphia’s Andre Blake ($7.0) led the position on a clean sheet and 10 points, and Maxime Crepeau (VAN, $7.0) did the same to come in just behind with 9 points. Joe Willis (Hou, $7.0) rounded out the top three with a clean sheet of his own and 8 points. DCU’s Chris Seitz ($4.5) did not keep a clean sheet and scored 2 points.

Well, it had to happen eventually.
After two strong performances, which earned the Caps four points against likely trophy contenders Portland Timbers and Toronto FC, Vancouver fell back to earth in a 1-0 loss to Colorado Rapids Sunday night at Rio Tinto Stadium.
A disjointed attacking performance from the Caps, combined with a disorganized first half at the back, were enough to do Vancouver in, although they put in a credible enough performance, which saw three chances cleared off the line and a heaping dose of energy and entertainment.

Vancouver Whitecaps defender Derek Cornelius vividly remembers the last time he prepared to take on the Colorado Rapids.
It was mid-March 2020 and he was driving to training with some teammates when news came that the game had been called off.
âI think we just got the update that the NBA decided to cancel because a couple players contracted COVID or whatever, Cornelius said. And then it was one after another â then it was MLS, then it was NHL. And it was like âWhatâs going on here? How long is this going to be? Is it going to be a one week, two week thing?â And now weâre still in this pandemic.â

Thirteen months later, the Caps (1-0-1) are once again looking to host the Rapids (0-1-1) on Sunday, albeit in a very different venue.
Border closures have forced all three Canadian Major League Soccer squads to temporarily relocate to start the season. The Whitecaps left Vancouver s B.C. Place and set up shop in Sandy, Utah, home to Real Salt Lake.

Boy, this one was certainly a roller-coaster ride. Although the match eventually ended in a 2-2 draw, there were moments throughout on Saturday where both the Vancouver Whitecaps and Toronto FC looked like the much better team on the pitch, as well as moments where it seemed assured each would go away with all three points.
At the end of the day, victory escaped both sides, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t plenty to talk about, especially on the Whitecaps front. First, we’ll break down the individual player grades. Then, at the end, I’ll give out my grade for the coaching staff, as well as my general thoughts on the match.
