NURSES from a cancer charity are bringing a health roadshow to Greenock to save lives. Cancer Research UK are setting up shop to highlight the importance of early diagnosis, as well as helping to reduce the risk of the disease. Nurse specialists Christine Campbell and Darragh Casey will be running a regular Cancer Awareness Roadshow in Greenock for the rest of the year. Their first stop-off will be later this month, with more visits planned. Christine said: “We are looking forward to talking to lots of people from Greenock about the steps they can take to help reduce their risk through changes like stopping smoking, reducing alcohol intake and keeping a healthy weight.
May is National Historic Preservation Month, and the Sheridan County Historic Preservation Commission will be celebrating with a number of activities.
Edre Maier and Kristin Campbell were guests on Sheridan Media’s talk show Public Pulse this week, and Campbell discussed National Historic Preservation Month.
This is the first year that Sheridan has been involved in the celebration, which Maier said is exciting because Sheridan has so much to offer from a historical standpoint.
Campbell said the Sheridan County Historic Preservation Commission was disbanded a few years ago but was recently reestablished by the Sheridan County Commission.
