Huron Waves extends virtual festival

Good news for lovers of local art and entertainment. Huron Waves Music Festival has extended the availability of their virtual programing on their website and social media after over 13 thousand views over the Christmas holidays. The one hour programming is narrated by actor Graham Greene who takes the audience on five creative segments. More details including acts can be found below: Acts include: Wingham-born cellist Thomas Beard, ballerina Antonella Martinelli, The Hussey Family singing from Goderich’s Courthouse Park and joined virtually by the Newfoundland Deaf Choir from St. John’s; Goderich-born soprano Christina Bell and Wingham pianist Andrea Grant performing holiday favourites in a private home near St. Joseph; plus The Sunset Drummers, joined by youth dancers from south-western Ontario First Nations including the Kettle and Stony Point First Nation, drumming and dancing down the sun on Lake Huron’s beach. January – West Angeles COGIC Pays Off the Cathedral’s Mortgage Jubilation filled the air as Bishop Charles and First Lady Mae Blake simultaneously celebrated their 51st pastoral anniversary and burned the $65 million mortgage on the West Angeles Cathedral on Jan. 12, during the 8 a.m., 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. worship services.
