This week is just getting started, so before we embark upon that journey, we re taking a look back at the week that was. This past week saw Fall River in the spotlight in both local and national news, especially as the trial of former mayor Jasiel Correia II got underway. These are the stories that resonated most with readers during this very news-heavy week:
Whopper of a job
Our top story this past week was one that was more light-hearted, given the heavy stories that otherwise topped the headlines. A Burger King here in Fall River has undergone a major makeover, as part of an investment from franchise owners James and Sarah Cammilleri. They re making over Burger Kings here in the city and all over the region. Herald News Reporter Charles Winokoor spoke to them about their plans.

With a new week just getting started, we re taking a look back at the week that was here in Greater Taunton. What were the stories that most spoke to our readers? More than 25,000 of you visited us last week, and these are the five stories that readers engaged most with this past week:
Trailer released for Don t Look Up
Massachusetts is no stranger to seeing film crews out and about, and the trailer just dropped for one of the latest projects to be filmed in our area: Don t Look Up. Back in December, Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep and Jennifer Lawrence were filming in Fall River, and Lawrence and Timothée Chalamet were filming in Brockton not so long ago. Don t Look Up has been described as a satirical, political disaster movie about a killer asteroid hurtling toward Earth. The movie will be released later this year on Netflix.
