The Massillon school board is talking vaccines, plans for graduation

Wednesday meeting DISCUSSION:  Superintendent Paul Salvino said the rollout of vaccines for staff members is set to begin Feb. 1. District officials have been in ongoing conversations with the Massillon Health Department since the pandemic began and were set to meet Thursday to discuss more details on how the immunization will be administered. A few buildings are set to get the shots Feb. 1 followed by the remaining staff members, he said. Plans call for health department staff to come to the schools to give the vaccine. The collaboration with the Massillon City Health Department has been so amazing, he said. Since March when all this jumped off there has been countless conversations with (Director) Terri (Argent) and others.
