Reports indicated that the Scottish FA would give League One and League Two clubs the thumbs up to return to competitive action in March with training resuming again this month, although as of yet there has been no formal conformation from the governing body with a meeting set to take place on Wednesday. The decision comes after the 20 clubs wrote to the SFA with a document titled “A Route to Playing Again” in which a number of protocols, including weekly testing, were outlined that would be followed if football were allowed to resume.

ALMOST 20 new homes could be built on the site of a former orchard. Chichester District Council has agreed to an initial application for 17 private homes to be built in a paddock at Loxwood Place Farm in Loxwood. The proposed development by Martin Grant Homes would include a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes, including seven affordable properties. The three acre site, which is off the southern end of the High Street in the village near the Wey and Arun canal, has most recently been used for grazing animals. Historically it was an orchard, when Loxwood and Kirdford’s main industry was wholesale apple growing.

Barnsley Women’s FC are still aiming to reach the top levels of the sport in the near future despite expecting their season to be declared null and void for a second year in a row.
The Reds have only played six matches in the Women’s National League Division One North – the fourth tier in England – which they led throughout last season until it was expunged late on.
Barnsley had planned to reach the Championship, the second tier, by 2023 and are still keen to get there eventually despite the setbacks due to the coronavirus crisis.
They are also ambitious off the field and hope to build a new stadium in the town, having previously unveiled plans for a £3-4million facility that would be the first specifically for women and girls in this country.
W.Va. Coal Association not optimistic about the next four years By

CHARLESTON, W.Va. A day after President Joe Biden took office, the West Virginia Coal Association continued to be on guard. Appearing on Thursday’s MetroNews Talkline, Chris Hamilton of the Coal Association noted they are optimistic they’ll be able to talk to the President and his staff, but after that all bets are off.
“We are optimistic we’ll have an audience with President Biden and his team to talk about the importance of base load generation so we can provide energy security going forward and keep the economics of state’s like West Virginia going forward,” Hamilton said.
