Michigan s legislature is expected to send a strong message about patient care in its next legislative session.
For several years Right to Life of Michigan has been working on legislation to increase protections for patients based on reports of abuses, such as doctors pulling the plug in spite of the patient s wishes and power-of-attorney representatives.
Chris Gast, a spokesman for Right to Life, tells One News Now it didn t pass this session but other action was taken: A resolution was passed suggesting patient protection legislation will be a priority.
