Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will continue to affect parts of the country in the next 24 hours due to the prevalence of a low pressure area (LPA) east of Eastern Visayas on Wednesday morning, July 14.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) estimated the location of the LPA at 20 kilometers east-northeast of Catarman, Northern Samar around 3 a.m.
Senior weather specialist Chris Perez said the LPA may bring rains over Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan, Albay, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Sorsogon, Masbate, and Visayas.
PAGASA warned against possible flash floods or landslides as rains may become moderate to at times heavy.
