Oklahoma Beekeepers Explain What To Do If You See A Bee Swarm
Oklahoma beekeepers are abuzz about bee swarm season and you might spot huge bundles of bees clumping onto tree branches. Beekeepers say, if you do see a swarm, there s no need to panic.
Muskogee beekeeper Chris James said despite their size, these clumps are mostly harmless. They look intimidating because there may be 10,000 bees right there, James said. But usually, bees are pretty calm when they re actually swarming because they don t have a home, they don t have babies to protect.
The swarms form when a hive gets too crowded, so the queen and half the bees ditch their old hive and search for a new one. Sometimes they land in a clump where they might not be welcome.

Three by-elections are being held in Enfield A list of candidates running for a seat in the upcoming Chase ward by-election has been revealed. Five candidates are vying to succeed Labour’s Vikki Pite, who stepped down from her role as ward councillor last year. Local elections were postponed following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, amid concerns over its impact on campaigning and voting. But with restrictions gradually being lifted, voters in London will head to the polls on Thursday, May 6, to take part in by-elections, which will run alongside the mayoral and London Assembly contests.
New Zealand is not rejigging its Covid-19 immunisation programme despite predictions people will need a third dose of the Pfizer vaccine within 12 months.

CNBC, Bourla said a likely future scenario is that people will need a booster shot – a third dose – of a Covid-19 vaccine, possibly within a year of getting fully vaccinated. They may also need annual booster shots to protect against the virus. But Bourla reiterated that this is yet to be confirmed, and further data is needed. Manufacturers Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech are currently studying how long the protective immunity of the vaccines will last for. The findings from these studies will be help determine any possible future planning around booster shots.
