Two meetings to look at on Wednesday, with Bathurst and Shepparton getting my attention.
Bathurst
Best bet: Race 8, Number 1: Dulcetto
Massive drop in grade for this guy and confident he can bounce back. To be fair, he hasn’t really fired a shot in recent runs, but this is clearly the easiest race he has contested in some time. Drawn the pole, he can hold a forward spot and likely lead. His best can take this out.
Soho Bollinger is my best bet in the second race and despite him taking on the older horses, he’s the leader in the race and will take plenty of beating.

Captain Bellasario has risen to a new level this preparation and he’s the second of my specials. The small field will suit him and I’m banking on his turn of foot to be too much for his rivals in the concluding stages.

Mildura
Best bet: Race Six Number 5 Lennox Bromac
The stable is having a fab run with former Kiwis, especially when racing at Mildura, and I am confident that will continue here. Share
His Australian debut came here last Friday, albeit in a race weaker than this, but gee, he was dominant and impressive. Provided he handles the rise in depth and class, he’ll win again.
