Cleveland County Sheriff Chris Amason announced he will be hosting quarterly town hall meetings starting this month in an effort to increase transparency.Â
The first meeting will be Mar. 27 at the Noble Assembly of God Church, 100 Post Oak Rd in Noble, according to a press release.Â
âAs an elected county official, I want to be accessible and plan to meet with our residents regularly in various locations throughout the county,â Amason wrote in the release. âWe will provide updates on what weâre doing at the sheriffâs office, but weâll also give people the chance to ask questions and voice concerns.â
Several Norman citizens said they’re concerned about a lack of transparency after Cleveland County commissioners voted 2-1 to dissolve the county’s budget board in a Feb. 22 meeting.
