Two Sailors Rescued by Portaferry Lifeboat After Yacht Breaks Down

PortaferryRNLI launched to the aid of two sailors late last night (Tuesday 25 May) after their yacht broke down a mile off the mouth of Strangford Lough.
Pagers sounded for the Northern Ireland volunteer lifeboat crew at 11.10pm after HM Coastguard requested the launch of the station’s inshore lifeboat Blue Peter V.
The crew were informed that the yacht, with two sailors onboard, had lost power and with no navigation lights was in difficulty north of the Fairway buoy, itself north of the Strangford Bar.

Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla and Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop officially launched the Citi Bike bike-share system with a celebratory bike ride from Jersey City Hall to Hoboken’s Pier A.
The five-year agreement for the newly unified system includes 820 bikes across Jersey City and Hoboken making movement between the two neighboring cities easier than before.

This May Citi Bike will launch in Hoboken.
Hoboken will now use Citi Bike as its bike-share provider after the City Council adopted a resolution approving the joint agreement with the company and Jersey City.
Starting May 3, Lyft, the owner of Citi Bike, will begin phasing in approximately 200 bikes at 15 stations within the mile-square city.
By this summer, Lyft will add another 100 bikes and another 14 stations for a total of 300 bikes and 29 stations.
