Next season’s European competitions will be welcoming AEK along after the team secured its top four spot after beating Panathinaikos 1-0 on Sunday.
Joining them will be third placed Aris, despite the 2-0 loss to second placed PAOK over the weekend.
It was a fairly tame game between the two Athenian teams, with nothing more than three yellow cards dealt out in the first half.
AEK captain and striker Petros Mantalos raised the stakes in the second half with a goal in the 50th minute, giving the visitors a much needed lead.
The hosts attempted a goal to equalise during overtime but to no avail as Green’s forward Federico Macheda shot ended up hitting the post.

To say the 2020/21 season has been a bit of a weird campaign in domestic football would be something of an understatement.
As if playing in empty stadiums isn t weird enough, some of the teams who ve become accustomed to dominating their domestic leagues haven t had it
quite so easy.
Bayern Munich were made to work much harder than they usually would to become champions of their respective leagues, while Juventus and Celtic have already handed over their crowns.
While some massive clubs have struggled, others have enjoyed their usual procession to the title and some have even pulled an absolute rabbit out of the hat in claiming top spot.
