Hill County Board of Health votes for local mask order

The Hill County Board of Health voted 3-1 to implement a countywide mask order at a special meeting Wednesday after a long and occasionally heated discussion. The order requires universal mask wearing except for children under the age of 5 - though 3- and 4-year-olds are still encouraged to wear masks - and other specific exemptions. The order will remain in effect for 90 days, or until the county sees a per-capita spread of COVID-19 of 10 per 100,000 people or lower for two consecutive weeks, after which the board will review all other factors and determine whether the order is still n.

School employees vaccinations set this week, veterans vaccinations start next week

Vaccination planning in the area continue to move forward, with Havre Public Schools’ employees set for vaccination this week and vaccinations for area veterans to start next week with the opening of the new location of the Merril Lundman Department of Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic in the Holiday Village Mall. Schedules had to be revised after Gov. Greg Gianforte last week announced major revisions to the vaccination schedule, increasing the age-range allowed under Schedule 1B from 75 and older to 70 and older and adding people ages 16 to 69 with underlying health conditions.

Born March 17, 1939 in Williamsport she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Paduano) Pelleschi.
Pat was a graduate of Lock Haven University, earning a degree in Elementary Education. She was a teacher in the Montoursville School District for several years before working at Lycoming College as a librarian until she retired.
For over 20 years Pat volunteered her time with the James V. Brown Library Literacy program. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and painting. Pat and her husband David were avid campers, spending many weekends at their favorite campgrounds.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two children; Michelle Triaca (Craig Muller) of Waverly and Matthew Triaca (Jenny) of Vienna, Virginia; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a sister Louise Knutson (Robert).
