Sex Pistols in 1976 Picture Press Association JOHN Lydon has called film director Danny Boyle s forthcoming Sex Pistols biopic disrespectful and claimed he has not been consulted about his depiction. Based on guitarist Steve Jones’s memoir, Pistol will be a six-episode limited series starring Babyteeth actor Toby Wallace and Game Of Thrones actress Maisie Williams. Created by Craig Pearce and written by Pearce and Frank Cottrell Boyce, it has been adapted from Jones book Lonely Boy: Tales From A Sex Pistol. Radcliffe-born Boyle, whose previous films include Trainspotting, 28 Days Later and Slumdog Millionaire, will also serve as executive producer. Speaking to the Sunday Times, Lydon, 65, said: “I think that’s the most disrespectful s I’ve ever had to endure. I mean, they went to the point to hire an actor to play me but what’s the actor working on? Certainly not my character. It can’t go anywhere else [but court].
