The 34-year-old told the Evening News: “I was out walking in Leith Links and I could see some gold objects on a mound from the other side of the park.
“As I moved closer I was sure they looked like meerkats all standing in a group,” he explained.
“I think that’s what they are! It seems like a bit of a mystery as to where they came from, but I really like that.
“It brightened up a bit of a bleak day to find them, so I think they’re great!”

Previously, such a surgery would take multiple surgeries and years of recovery, but those new techniques and technology mean the Marine will return to duty after just one surgery and a few months of recovery.
A lucky Marine made military medical history by becoming the first service member to receive a reconstructed jaw made out of one of his leg bones, complete with 3D-printed teeth, all in one surgery.

DLC Fund-authorized participant Genesis Global Trading announced that all XRP transactions would be suspended on January 15, 2021.
Digital assets manager Grayscale has removed XRP from its Digital Large Cap Fund and reinvested in other crypto assets. This is the latest in a barrage of XRP delistings prompted by a lawsuit by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) against Ripple Labs citing the illegal sale of securities.
Grayscale announced this on Tuesday via Twitter, declaring that funds realized from the liquidation were used to purchase Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin.
