The Partypoker Millions Online main event got underway on February 21 with 591 hopefuls lining up for a shot at glory.

With a $5 million guarantee and a major title up for grabs, poker’s elite were out in force.
However, for all the talent on display, it was Canada’s Daniel Dvoress who emerged as the man to beat when Day 1A ended.
Pros Out in Force for Partypoker Millions Online Main
Everyone that entered the $5,300 main event got a one-million-chip starting stack. By the close of play, all but 89 had lost theirs.

Speaking to Pokerfuse, Yaniv Sherman, VP and Head of US at 888 Holdings, said he wants to see WSOP events available in the Keystone State this summer.
As yet, the timeline is unclear. However, Sherman wants WSOP.com PA to go live with the rollout of 888’s new software, Poker 8.

If all goes to plan, WSOP.com Pennsylvania will be ready in the first half of 2021.

PokerStars Michigan went live on January 29. The site is a joint venture with FOX Bet and brings online poker, casino gaming, and sports betting to the state.
Other US states might have the necessary regulations in place to offer online betting and gaming. However, none have put them into practice, which makes Michigan the fifth state to officially offer online poker.

The two pros had been battling back and forth since the end of 2020. Galfond stumbled at one point but established healthy lead in the early part of 2021.
With just under 10,000 hands left to play and the deficit standing at over $725,000, Kornuth decided that discretion was the better part of valor.
No Chance for Kornuth to Win
The start of the end came on January 23. Kornuth had lost $122,000 the previous day and needed a strong session to turn things around.
