County and northern Sullivan County.
Council President Aaron Loudermilk said there was some confusion as an

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Tuesday evening, Vigo County council members voted on and passed a 7-year tax abatement for solar farms.
In April, Casino owner Greg Gibson announced teaming up with Duke Energy Renewable Solar LLC, with the goal of bringing Hoosier Jack Solar to the community. Project developer for the solar farm, Tyler Coon noted the project is “consistent with the goals of the Vigo County Comprehensive Plan.”
Coon noted that the solar farm, to be located on 1,500 acres of land near E. Co Road 1200 N. would be developed on former strip mine land. 900 acres of the farm is planned in Vigo County with another 600 acres in Sullivan County.
