READERS have given their thoughts after Cumbria Police have said they believe residents have welcomed their dog fouling patrols across Furness. Police community support officers and community officers have been teaming up with environment officers from Street Care, as part of their plans to clamp down on the issue. The patrols have been carried out in highlighted areas. These include Walney, Dalton, Askam and Roanhead. LATE-night revellers at Tesco Extra Barrow causing the shop to close early have been branded a ‘disgrace’. The Mail readers have reacted to news that Tesco has been forced to close early on Saturday nights due to incidents of disorder at the supermarket. Bosses from the company said there have been two Saturday nights when the store had to close early for safety reasons. They said that any future early closures will be monitored. A Tesco spokesman said: “Unfortunately we have had to close our Barrow Extra store early on two Saturday nights because of some incidents of anti-social behaviour in the store.
