The reveal in August 2019 that Marvel Studios will be bringing a
Moon Knight series to the Disney+ service was one of the bigger pieces of news that got me excited. Marvel Studios revealed back in November that Jeremy Slater had boarded the project as the showrunner for it. While Slater had a hand in the 2015
Fantastic Four film script as a co-writer and was the writer on
Death Note for Netflix, he most recently served as the developer for
Umbrella Academy and wrote the script for the pilot episode, shaping the run going forward.
We’d heard in October 2020 that Oscar Isaac was being courted for the role and had entered some level of negotiations but we haven’t heard anything since. Now, the cinematographer for the show, Gregory Middleton, has let loose with a new Instagram update while in Hungary where he talks about being involved in the show and confirms Oscar Isaac’s role in the show.
Paramount has acquired the rights to Monty Python’s
Spamalot. According to Deadline, the studio is set to make a movie production of the popular musical, which is already is fully developed with a screenplay by Pythoner Eric Idle and songs by Idle and John DuPrez.
Spamalot was initially in production at Fox; once Disney bought the company, however, the film lost momentum. The movie will be directed by Casey Nicholaw, who was the choreographer on the Broadway production.

The movie and the musical are based on the 1975 cult classic,
Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the comedic troupe’s take on the legend of King Arthur. The film includes iconic scenes such as the Black Knight, Killer Rabbit, Not Dead Fred, and Knights of Ni.
