Ashton s preliminary hearing is set for 3 p.m. April 20.

According to the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office, Northwood Elementary School principal Kirk Ashton was arraigned Wednesday night in Greece Town Court. New York State Police said the felony charges include six counts of first-degree sexual abuse, five counts of second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child and nine counts of endangering the welfare of a child. State Police said there are nine victims, all boys. The current allegations date back to 2017, and all the incidents happened at the school. The victims are between 8 and 12 years old.

Greece Commons apartment shooting leaves one critically wounded

A man is in critical condition after being shot late Wednesday night at a Greece apartment complex. Officers from the Greece Police Department responded to the area of 190 Milford Street in the Greece Commons complex around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday for a report of shots fired. There they found a man, who has not been identified, with a single gunshot wound to his upper body. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and is in critical condition, said Greece Police Sgt. Jared Rene. The man was sitting in a car in a complex parking lot at the time of the shooting, Rene said.
