Aqua Ohio begins construction on water main on Church Street
A water main line built in the 1890s will be retired and rerouted after Aqua Ohio announced its plans to begin a construction project on Church Street.
Starting Monday, Aqua Ohio will begin its project of retiring 4,200 linear feet of water main that services customers along Church Street between Windsor Street and South Greenwood Street, according to a press release. The project is expected to be completed by the end of May. This project is about improving service reliability and removing redundancy in the system, stated Aqua Ohio s area manager Scott Ballenger in the release. The main we are removing has last a long time, but we ve seen the frequency of water main breaks, and resulting service interruptions, increase over the past several years and it s time to take action.
