Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Rob Tuttle officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Mayor Karen Goh, and other representatives from the city buried a time capsule at Greenlawn. Guests and attendees were allowed to write notes about their loss and place them in the capsule. Memorial Day events return for the public across Ashland County

Memorial Day in Ashland County City of Ashland The traditional parade will return this year after the city held a small program last year to conform to COVID-19 restrictions. This year, the parade will start staging at 9 a.m. then step off at 10 a.m. The procession will take its normal route south on Union Street then West on Main Street to the Ashland Cemetery. The parade will include the local veterans organizations. Mayor Matt Miller will serve as the guest speaker at the ceremony in the cemetery.
