Gordon rallies to support family who lost 2 children in house fire

The children’s father, Mark Denhartog, is the kitchen manager at the Buckhorn. Owner Jodi Rose said the family is holding it together following the loss of Phoebe and Thatcher, ages 10 and 13, but it’s rough. “I think at this point they’re just trying to get through the funeral and go from there,” Rose said.

“We’re gonna have all hands on deck,” Palmer Bar co-owner Sherman Leifer said. He said this is their second event, and first time hosting a musical guest as the new owners of the iconic bar in downtown Palmer. Leifer and his cousin Wesley Artz acquired the Palmer Bar from the previous owners, Mary Lou Coddington and Jack Burnett, in July. “I’ve lived in Palmer forever, since 1985.
