NATIONAL: Couple to be sentenced later after they made a false insurance claim Reporter:   ); A husband and wife falsely tried to claim they had been injured in a car accident after the husband reversed into an off-duty garda driving a van, a Dublin court has heard. Rene Cifra (34) was only 15 minutes into his new job as a food delivery man in May 2019 when he missed the house he was delivering to and decided to reverse down Griffith Avenue, Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard on Tuesday. Cifra collided with a Mercedes van which was being driven by an off-duty garda and ended up writing off his car.

The officer identified the driver as a 42-year-old Fall Creek man and requested charges from the Wood County District Attorney s Office.  At 4:14 a.m. April 3, a 47-year-old Marshfield man reported a domestic disturbance involving his ex-girlfriend, a 55-year-old Marshfield woman. An officer arrested the woman on suspected charges of battery and disorderly conduct, both as domestic abuse incidents.  At 10:10 a.m. April 2, a Marshfield woman reported someone shattered a window and dented a door on a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 2200 block of South Maple Avenue.
