Vancouver police investigating two acts of mischief ANI 16 May 2021, 06:18 GMT+10 Vancouver [Canada], May 16 (ANI): Vancouver police in Canada are searching for persons who spat on and painted graffiti on the Chinese consulate in separate incidents. In one incident a man spat on the consulate s name plate then obstructed an employee; 13 days later a different man sprayed graffiti on the front gates, reported South China Morning Post (SCMP). These are such disrespectful and intolerable acts, said Constable Tania Visintin of the Vancouver Police Department (VPD). The VPD released video and photographs of the incidents on Friday, as it sought help from the public to identify the culprits.

  London Road, Stockton Heath > As part of the renovation work at The Forge Car Park, a closure will be in force from Monday, May 17. The footpath along the A49 London Road from its limits with The Forge Car Park to its intersection with the path to St Thomas’s Church will close for three weeks from 8.30am to 5.30pm. The highway improvements works are part of the Forge scheme. The alternative route will be via A49 London Road, Ellesmere Road and Egerton Street. Closures will be signposted.  Roads around Padgate, Fairfield and Howley > Carriageway works are due to start next Monday, May 24 and last for eight weeks.
