The funds and fun generated by local Rotary Clubs are important as Saugeen Shores deals with the global pandemic, but in times of uncertainty and lockdowns, Saugeen Shores Mayor Luke Charbonneau appreciates the mental health benefits that the events foster, and that Rotary and other service clubs are innovative.
After hearing a list of additional events to be staged virtually by the Rotary Club of Port Elgin and the Rotary Cub of Southampton, Charbonneau said Rotarians “give me hope” and that the events would help make the community “feel better and stay engaged.”
