It was a nightmare start, middle and end for the Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad last night against Grandview Christian as the Thunder took control with a 15-2 run to end the first quarter en route to a 69-23 win over the Panthers, as heard on 95.3 KNIA. With the score tied at five, Knoxville allowed GVCA to go on a 39-4 run the rest of the first half to lead 44-9 at the break, and the running clock was in effect during all of the second half. Knoxville Interim Head Coach Matt Ritchhart told KNIA/KRLS Sports for Knoxville to be successful, everyone has to move on offense and not stand and watch one or two players run the show.
The Knoxville Boys basketball Squad will head to Ankeny tonight for a match up with Grandview Christian. The Panthers and the Thunder have never played before, so this will be the first meet between the teams. Knoxville has not played since a loss to Pella Christian last Monday after the Panthers game against Clarke on Friday was postponed to February 16th due to weather. Senior player Mike Hudson tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he is trying to show the underclassmen that hard work in practice and games will translate to wins.
Hudson:
“Just trying to lead by example a lot and working hard in practice and showing it’s going to pay off in the end and showing them if they work hard we’ll get wins.”

After having developed friendships and relationships that will last for the rest of her life, Julie Tooker is retiring from GracePointe Crossing after 31 years of service.
GracePointe Crossing was known as Grandview Christian Home when Tooker started in the business office in 1989. She has served in many capacities during her tenure with the organization.
âAt the time we were Grandview Christian Home, and because of its reputation and faith-filled mission, it was the only place I wanted to work,â Tooker said. âI was promoted to business office manager, then to finance director, then to chief financial officer. When we affiliated with Presbyterian Homes & Services in 2007, we became GracePointe Crossing. I then served as campus administrator
