The head of YMCA Norfolk has been announced as the new Diocesan secretary for the Diocese of Norwich.
Tim Sweeting, who will take over in August, said he was “excited” to be joining at “such an important moment”.
He said: “Local churches make an incredible difference in their communities and I am looking forward to working with diocesan colleagues to support the wonderful, committed people who enable that to happen in so many rich and diverse ways.”
Tim Sweeting has been chief executive of YMCA Norfolk for 12 years.

The Church of England has announced its first female bishop in Norfolk after the Queen approved the nomination.
The venerable Dr Jane Steen, who is currently Archdeacon of Southwark in London, will be the next Bishop of Lynn - making her the first female bishop in the county.
Dr Steen, who was born in 1964 and has more than 20 years ministry in the Diocese of Southwark, will be the first suffragan bishop to be consecrated in Norwich Cathedral in more than 100 years - and possibly ever, said the Diocese of Norwich.

A special choral evensong with prayers for The Duke of Edinburgh is to be streamed live from Norwich Cathedral on the eve of his funeral.
The Dean of Norwich, the Very Rev Jane Hedges, will preside over the service at 6pm on Friday, April 16, which will be sung by the boys, lay clerks and choral scholars of the Norwich Cathedral Choir.
The Bishop of Norwich, the Rt Rev Graham Usher, will preach and the Lord Lieutenant of Norfolk, The Lady Dannatt, will read a lesson.
