Investigators have identified Kimberly Ann Funk from Sharon, Pennsylvania as the victim found in the swampy area of Ward Bayou in 1991.
Later in 1991, a clay model was made of the woman’s skull to help identify her. The woman still remained unknown.
Years later, in 2019, an anonymous donor helped to fund further DNA research to help build a family tree. Then, in March of 2021, a possible brother was identified in which he confirmed to have a sister named Kimberly Ann Funk.
