K-dramas to watch out for in 2021

In 2020, K-dramas soared in popularity as pandemic-driven lockdowns drove viewers to the small screen. They made waves across the globe thanks to streaming platforms like Netflix.
Melodrama Crash Landing on You caused a sensation in Japan and historical zombie drama Kingdom 2 attracted attention after viewers raved about the gripping storyline, sumptuous sets and elaborate costumes.
After such a strong year, some of the freshest new TV series will land on TV this year. They traverse genres including fantasy, thriller and period dramas. Here are our picks of the K-dramas of 2021 to watch.
57. Refund Sisters
Refund Sister is a four-member project girl group that was formed through MBC s Hangout with Yoo. The group is composed of Uhm Jung Hwa, MAMAMOO s Hwasa, Jessi, and Lee Hyori.
58. SECRET NUMBER
SECRET NUMBER is a five-member girl group under VINE Entertainment that debuted on May 19, 2020. The group made headlines for having the first Indonesian female K-pop idol and two former YG Entertainment trainees.
59. SSAK3
SSAK3 is a project co-ed trio that was formed through MBC s Hangout With Yoo. The group debuted on July 25, 2020, and is composed of Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Hyori, and Rain.
60. STAYC
STAYC is a six-member girl group under High Up Entertainment. They are the first girl group formed by producer duo Black Eyed Pilseung. They debuted on November 12, 2020.
“A Love So Beautiful” is gearing up for its premiere!
Kakao M’s “A Love So Beautiful” stars WEi’s Kim Yo Han, So Ju Yeon, and Yeo Hoe Hyun. The drama is a remake of the Chinese drama of the same name and is about a bright and energetic high school student named Shin Sol Yi (So Ju Yeon) and her childhood friend Cha Heon (Kim Yo Han), whom she’s had a crush on for 17 years.
