KBS s new TV series Royal Secret Inspector is off to a good start with the first episode of the period comedy series scoring a 5 percent viewership rating Monday.
This was almost double the rating earned by the series Zombie Detective, which closed with 2.6 percent and aired in the same time slot.
The series, set in the Joseon Kingdom (1392-1910), revolves around inspector Sung Yi-gyum (Kim Myung-soo) who goes undercover to investigate corruption among civil officials.

KBS 2TV new comic mystery drama Secret Royal Inspector is set in the Joseon dynasty. The story is about a secret royal inspector named Sung Yi Kyum, played by Kim Myung Soo, who travels undercover from one province to another to inspect and catch people who are involved in corruption and injustices. He is also ready to help the people in getting the justice that they deserve. Meanwhile, Lee Yi Kyung will be playing the character of Park Choo Sam, the right-hand servant of Sung Yi Kyum.

Kim Myung Soo plays Sung Yi Kyum, a public official at the Hongmungwan (Office of Special Advisors) who becomes appointed to the position of secret royal inspector.
